A solid recap of the mindset paralysis forces. I can see how being able-bodied this would be harder to implement, because you may have a different perspective on your sense of control. 

The Senator’s Wife 

Jen Lyon

This series brings back a lot of memories from rugby and basketball. Nostalgic. 

I really like it, but it makes me miss training—the competitive atmosphere, teammates, and working together towards a goal. It’s such a messy story and I think that’s why it makes me ache for the characters. The complexity of the human experience and trying to make the right choices, it’s difficult. 

Lady of Darkness 

Melissa Roehrich

Definitely escaped into this series. The lessons of trying to love an idea of someone. Trying to change them to fit, versus loving someone and allowing them to be who they are.  Meeting them where they need you, even if it’s broken on the floor. Trauma effecting everyone differently and trying to find that one sliver of light to live for. The right people being there with you—not judging but patiently waiting for you to figure out what you need. Love a good found and built family. 

I miss the Wraiths of Death.

Another mind altering book. His books devastate me in the way they lay out how predictable humanity is.
